It is tougher to make money in 2008 from stock market.

the market will be searching for direction for a while or keep directionless for a while. Index and mutual fund performance in 2008 is less promising. However 2008-2009 poses significant buying or selling opportunity for highly selected sectors or individual stocks. In other words, diversification in 2008 is going to be a loser strategy.
