IRA and 401k are TWO separate vehicles. So it is ok to contribute to ROTH 401k and ROTH IRA as long as you meet the income limitation and your employer provides ROTH 401k.

There is only one type of investor needs to pay attention: If you own the business and have 401k (or ROTH 401k) then your contribution to SEP IRA and 401k may need to be combined when considering allowed contributing amount.
