Only money in your pocket, not money on paper, is really your money. I hope you can actually gain a lot from your stock option. I never had any stock option myself. However, I saw my ex-landloard whose stock option was worth $11M on paper at certain point, and then worth much less than 1M when he actually changed the stock into money in his pocket.
