It's something I think I know, but have not yet tried. Which, I may try when I have time, then I'd know for sure, which, I am not going to share. :-)

I am sure the guy who went to court to outbid me is a pro. - even judge knows him, told him 'you know the procedure, etc..'

I was mad the time I heard someone was outbidding us. I asked the attorney, 'now what? Is he coming back to court (like me) after one month? what if I outbid him then?' 

As for you, you can ask the seller attorney, how long you will know (I guess it's like 4-6 weeks). And how is he going to get people to outbid you? I think he will tell you. He should. It could very well be in your contract - but every state is different, you don't seem to have an attorney. We had an attorney and a contract.

Your case may be different, like I said, ours is not a short sale.
