Joint tenants is not appropriate for partnership with disadvantages below:

1) ownership can't be divided so that you can't specify each partner's percentage.

2) survivorship will make your partner inherit the propery intead of your heirs.

With Tenancy in common, you can over come these short comings. In either case, you also need form a partnership agreement.
