This is a great question!

Per my personal experience - Most of my American american clients do "walk away" and enjoy retirement life; most of Asian American clients can't "quit"! Worse yet, they get all kind of excuses and work much harder (they think now they have more experience and have more $$ to "play" either as landlord inin stock market).

For years, the only thing I am proud of myself is to "quit" after I believe that I have enough $$ for "rice soup" till I am 105 years old. By the way, 20 years after retiring is NOT enough. If you are 45-55 now, you should prepare to live till 95 in average.
