strange, a semi-automatic weapon(like 半自动步枪)

is one that fires a round with each pull of the trigger, while an automatic weapon(like 冲锋枪) continues to shoot until the trigger is released or the ammunition supply is exhausted.  Thus I don't understand "第一颗子弹打出去".
