I think u r talking about asbestos tiles

the rigid square tiles stuck to the concrete with black mastic glue

they are a*****estos tiles

strictly speaking u r not supposed to remove them; just cover them up with new floor (wood, laminate, tile, etc)

that being said, I have removed those tiles myself, i am a 菜鸟 too
