Question about escrow

I am new at real estate investment, I am going to buy my first house soon and I read about escrow...

Do every one do their own escrow here? 

I asked my mortgage agent, the interest will be 0.125% higher without escrow. 

If I do my own escrow, maybe I can use my credit card to pay and get 2% cash back? 

I like to manage my own money, 0.125% more interest is around $20 to $30 more on monthly payment. What do you guys do? Do you manage your own escorw?
