E-loan's 5 yr CD?term is too long

GMAC's rate is lower than 5.5% apy i think. i am thinking of doing a 6 or 9-month CD ladder (5.5%)for now (i have some extra 5w cash available soon). at the moment, i do not have any idea on what to invest. but i hope chances come soon. :) so i choose short term CD.
