most MF guys don't know how to trade

they do FA, whatever, but there is no edge, so basically they perform on-par with SP500, less trading fees and slippage, so most of them underperform.

I know I overperform - if you do it the right way (a BIG if), it's not that difficult after a few years....no short cut, a few years of practise is minimum.

and I am not making crazy money, just nice extra dough.
