under current tax code, a family of 4, can make almost 50k without paying a penny in federal income tax, if they utilize EIC, Child Credit, Work Credit..

under the 999 plan, a family of 4, 2 adults working at $10/hour job, avg 32 hour weeks, gross income be $33,280. if you tax them 9%, which be $2995, righ off their wages. 

if you tax another 9% sales tax, avg family spends 1k a month on food, that be another $1080 out of their budget.

tell me how is that fair to them?
