I am also interested in the expert's opinions. I am in the process to buy a SFH in three weeks. I bought over 80 boxes of laminate flooring from Menards. It is 79c/sq_ft. 30 year warranty. I would think it is more ecomonical than carpet. As long as no water, it should last long.
