The new IT technology for house arrest for minor charges(no insurance driving,expired driver license driving...etc) is much, much cheaper than jail. Currently the bail bond lobbist do not let county use the IT to save tax payer's money in FL, but it could be over throw ay any time after tax payers are broke, in fact they are already.
