Yes, selling puts can make you some money, but if you really like a company, you should buy the shares outright, instead of trying to be really smart, imagine if you made money by selling puts on MSFT before windows 95 came out, you would be really disappointed about yourself, because you are so confident about MSFT to sell puts on it, but you do not buy shares even though you are that confident.
