ding! 文化的不同

I used to invite a friend of mine to come to my place.  she asked if I have swimming pool.  I said to her "why?".  she answered she and her kids would not go if I don't have swimming pool.  She is a Caucasian. 

if she knows you want to fill that pool, she must think you go insane.

on the other hand, our Chineses try to keep life simple, safe... so we don't like house w/ trees, pool....  but I do have chinese friends who regretted very much they didn't buy a house w/ swimming pool, a fun place for kid and of course, a nervous place for parents.

so it all depends on individual's preference.  some people treats pool as scenery at back yard like the resort.  others prefers to have more land to plant.

my suggestion:  don't like it, don't buy. it's that simple.
