UC vs IVY?

I let my daughter to choose to go to UC Berkley or IVY schools: I pay about the same amount (calculated from EFC). I did mention the financial and academic benefit of choosing Berkley and recommend it and she kind of reluctently went to UCB.

4 years later she knew she made a good choice - she saved about 8w student loan and she is now a graduate student in a top IVY.
