Short Sale 的变故:请求各位老大高见

这个实在是很TNND.Short sale offer made before Jan 01, accepted and deposit paid next week. All paper works done, survey, title search, etc. Ready to close this week. Now the bank said no, and is looking for much higher offers.
My lawyer said if they did not pay our expenses he was going to put a lien on the house so they can't go anywhere.

But even if they paid up all that, I am still at loss, because I already had tenant waiting to move in, and working crew ready to work on the house. It's my money on the table for the next month now I can't get it.

Anybody with similar experience and how to handle?
