I don;t invest on real estate. However, I keep an eye on the market. In my subdivision, the house price has not decreased much from it's peak, about 10-20 percent. So if someone bought a few months ago when the interest was lower, it is indeed a good deal. 

Investment is a personal decision. Nobody can predict the future constantly right. If buying a house for residency, anytime is good time--improvement of family life is priceless. The only thing should be considered is the planning and budgeting.
