If you think their money would not reach 3.5 million, there are many way to handle this--separate the couple's estate and each will have at least 1 million even if the Bush tax expired. Also, paying grandkid's tuition is tax free, plus every year, they can give out 13K tax free as gift every year.

 

I am against the UL or VUL.
