if the house still on 60 amps fuse, you need a new service entrance, cost $500-800, to rewire the whole house, 4-6k..

often, it is the insurance require it at minimum 100 amp service or they refuse to insure, the city doesn't require you to do so, and the code doesn't require you upgrade the wire if you just want to do the service entrance..
