SIDE questions: anyone will go to SF to get visa?

I will be going to SF to get visa, wondering whether someone will do the same, so we can team up to get visa, such as I go there to apply, then you go there to pick up the visa, or vs versa.

I am in between santa clara and fremont area.


Also now the visa fee to China is $140, but to hongkong is $30, does it mean if we take route to hongkong then to Beijing will only cost $30 instead?

any inputs? If this not a right forum, please advise where I should post.
