You forgot two risks:

1) dollar devaluation
If you look at how much value USD lost since 2000. will 6% yield compensate? (even at this years temporary USD rise)
2) municipal bankruptcies.
Unless you are blind, have you seen all level of municipal governments are on the edge of bankruptcies?

I will not touch muni bond in a 10 ft pole. :)
