Rental house remodeling receipt -- tax
Last year I have labor cost to paint the rental house, but didn't get receipt. It was paid in check.
One account said it has to have a formal receipt not the transaction on the bank statement or copy of the check.
How do I report this as deductible cost on schedule E?
Also if you pay someone over 600 a year you have to give 1099 form. Anyone knows how it works?
