are well known for their fat bonus. Many get bonus more than their salary even in the worst economy times. Agreed with you said, this doesn't mean the economy is improving.

Other industries, such as high tech in SF Bay area, have mixed signals: some got usual 10% bonus, some none. Looks like the economy is still in limbo.
