go to police station, tell them you want your stuff out. Most times police will come and tell the russian guy,ou he cannot illegally hold your stuff. he has to go to court to sue you if he has any claims. Most likely police may have record on this guy..

you can also show the email to police if you like. Slandering is another thing. Police can warn the guy.
