I happen to be a treasurer for a HOA.

We have a person who did not pay HOA fee for a few months. The manager sent her two letters, and there was no reply. The HOA board finally let a lawyer to handle it. The lawyer sent a letter to her and she came to the board meeting. But the board is not dealing with her anymore. She has to talk to the lawyer herself. probably $$$ additional for lawyer's fees.
