You can buy treasury bills with staggerd maturity date.  See the link, the 4 weeks to 52 weeks treasury bill is above 5%. 

Since Powell said he'll hike the rate again, I would not suggest to buy bond at any longer term. 

Get an account in TreasuryDirect.gov, it's not complicated.  Safer than private banks.
