you should pay AMT tax for 20 difference from your example, execise ISO is for long term gain, but it is two side knife, when stock is up , you can get advantage, if stock is down blow your exercise price. you still pay AMT tax, you can not get back your tax,

so most of people use same day sale for ISO option. risk is too high.

a lot of people owe big money for AMT tax 2000, these people still pay AMT tax even they lose money from stock. still owe these money even bankcrupt.

one famous guy in silicon vally 2001, he execised a lot of ISO option, he owe big AMT tax, he didn't make any money form his stock, he killed himself, his company is rambus.
