求问：自住房，capital gain tax 的问题

$250k capital gain would be tax free for single if the person live there for at least two years as primary residence in the past 5 years. 当时有人的跟帖好像是说必须拥有这个房子5年。我的理解是只要5年中有两年是自住房就可以了。也就是说只要owner拥有这个房子两年或两年以上就可以了（当然这两年必须是自住房）。不知道我理解的对不对。谢谢大家。
