You think the bank do not charge money to do the loan?

Do you know who loan the money. US has only two lenders that loan residential conforming loans today. All lenders (big or small) are selling the loan (like broker) to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.

Brokers usually has much less cost than retail banks.
