鼠年行大运 – 提上来再表: 更广义的”理财” is to build our social influence

Happy New Year everyone!! Allow me to 再精准的阐述一下: 更广义, 更strategic的“理财”, 是不是需要 pivot towards social influence?

据说连战先生2005在北大演讲的主轴,是两岸同心,搁置意识形态争议,去赚全世界的钱。Put aside the social/political controversies, focus on economical growth, 未尝不是天朝30年经济奇迹之基本国策。 换成千百年的古训,“闷声大发财”不是吗。  

我们生活在一个展新的大时代:I happen to think that “闷声大发财”strategy would no longer work in today’s America. Perhaps many of us are on track to or already become 1%-er. But what is our road map to scale to 0.1%-er to 0.01%-er? 一个没有话语权, 一个有identify crisis,一个漂白怕红的弱势族群,do we aspire to be the American Jewish Elitists, 还是我们终究是小确信一族?

Case in point#1: 那个佛州来的junior senator, 古巴裔的Marco Rubio, what is driving him to 不择手段的逢中必反?? Please don’t tell me it is about Democracy and Freedom… 谁是他后面的金主? 要是他逢Israel必反,您觉得佛州的老尤金主会答应吗?

We need our voice, we need our social identity and most critically social influence. To build that social influence, perhaps the very very first step, is to upgrade our consumption image. 试想一下 – do you want people to immediately equate us to cheap and knock-offs more, or you prefer to be related to “Crazy Rich Asian”more??

转回到主题:“能赚”is in our DNA no doubt,“会花”is, actually against our DNA. But“会花”builds our influence. And building our influence, must be part of the long term“理财”策略, for us to break the America social glass ceiling and get our kids to the next level. 咦,天朝似乎最近也有类似的strategy 哦。。。
