The key is when IRS is auditing, if they will believe

what you say about those expense for business. If they don't, they will bring you to court, (court part is my understanding, heard some cases about tax dispute between IRS and citizen). So think from these two angles, if you can convince IRS officer, or if you can win the case in court.
