They don't know you and they don't know the area. Buying a house is very personal, especially if it is your residence.

You should discuss this with your family members only. You will find that asking advices here very counter productive and misleading most of the time.

Don't get me wrong, this is a fun place, but you just can't take it too serious and make important decision based on any of the inputs from here.
