property tax is wayyyyy to high, gale ranch is next door to windermere and just as nice, schools are just as good. i don't understand why people wants to buy a house in windemere and pay 1.7% tax vs 1.2% in gale ranch.
i was at windemere sales office back in july looking at their Fiolo townhomes, the sales girl told me that they have 6 new townhomes release the very next day. and she tried so hard to convince me how hot their properties are that it actually will sell within 30 mins once their door opens 10am the next morning. she suggested me to bring a blanket a night before and wait in front of their office to make sure i will be able to get one once their new release come out the next day. she also said that there was one guy that has been living in his van outside of their office for 1 whole week just to make sure that he gets one this time since he didn't make it the last two times. of course i didn't listen to her bs and stand inline overnight, i went back to their office a month later just to check out if all the new releases were sold. guess what, they still had 2 left trying to talk me into getting one. and by now i already see a few of those townhomes for sale by owner at lower price. a lot of people try to avoid windemere when they purchase a home simply because of high property tax.
