我上个月有个房客,刚搬出去两天,就威胁我退押金,我的回答是
The lease said that landlord should refund any remaining deposit after the non refundable, unpaid bill (05/15-06/27 water and sewer), any excessive wear/tear costs in 45 days.
It’s pretty bad that the legal services of western New York couldn’t give legal advice and you better find someone else, because they couldn’t even tell you that there’s no claims for you yet.
I’m a very fair landlord and I definitely not happy to hear some kind of threatening to small court. That is said, I will still send you a check out summary with pictures and receipt, like I always do in another 40 days
