What is the definition of '炒股'? Day trading and short term holdi

My understand of '炒股' is day trading and quick turn over of stocks.  That said. the 99% of day traders disappear in 3 years.  Some of them can show short term gain, but no one can consistently make enough money by doing quick turn over of stocks.
