igniter glows and fire does not start - 3 possible cause

1. No gas service

2. Bad gas valve

3. Bad control board

Measure the voltage of the two wires to gas valve. After you see the igniter glows, you should measure 24 v for a couple of second just before the igniter goes off. You can only see it for one or two seconds, so pay attention to your meter. 

If no voltage detected, the board is bad. otherwise, gas valve is bad. 

The transformer is good because it blows air.
