In Canada, if you are receiving the rent from the supporting program, you need to:

1.check the reason for supporting. For refugee family for example, they shall be supported. Can not prove wrong with them.

2. Are they willing to pay?

3. if they can not pay their share, while the supporting program paid most of the rent, then ask yourself, are you ok to give them discount?
