your RMB gets less purchasing power inside China. Can you buy more food with 100 Yuan today than 1 year ago? you know the answer already :-). Internally, RMB is losing its purchasing power. But externally, you can exchange for more USD due to rising exchange ratio. Now you need less RMD to exchange for 1 USD.
