If the original is already in 4:3 format, it will probably not help to convert it to 16:9. It will probably just cut the top and bottom off and we may lost the subtitles, etc.

I watched the Olympics from NBC's digital channel. When I saw all of your posts were 4:3, I just thought that you processed them from 16:9 into 4:3.
