Aniston comes to mind.  Sweet on and off screen.

But I watched Rotten Tomateos interview on YouTube .  Off screen Anya is a totally different person from Beth Harmon.  She is a normal relaxed person with slight british accent.  So Beth Harmon is a persona she created.  If she can portray a nerd, she should be able play a different role easily.
