旅行住在Granada时，收到租客的text message，

“ Dear xxxx

I hope you’re well. I’m writing to let you know that I’ve discovered mold growing in my home at 19XX apt , specifically in the bedroom on the wall near the window and in my closet 

The mold appears to be spreading and may be affecting the air quality in the unit. I’m especially concerned because I live here with my children, and mold exposure can cause serious health issues.

Under California law (Civil Code §1941.1 and Health & Safety Code §17920.3), landlords must maintain the property in a habitable condition, which includes repairing leaks and addressing visible mold that may affect health and safety.

Please send a qualified professional to inspect and fix the source of the moisture and remove the mold as soon as possible. I would appreciate written confirmation of when this will be done.

Attached the photos and video of the affected areas. Please treat this as an urgent matter for the safety of my family.
