We had total of 10 persons live in the camp site. A ranger came and talked to us about bears and food storage stuff, but did not care how many persons were lived in the camp site.
Six of us made to the top of Half Dome again on Sunday, 05/27. It took us a little over 13 hours this time. We felt much easier than last time, even though we hiked from camp site, without taking shuttle bus. We have a 12 years old boy among us. He just had some trouble on the cable trail on the way up, but made it with protection and pushes from behind.
This time I remember the exact location of the small spring/fountain, which is the last water source on the way up:
Less than quarter of a mile pass the junction of the Clouds Rest(?). It is on the left, behind a lone tree trunk lie parallel next to the trail. You can’t see the water from the trail. The water is drinkable. The trunk is about 1 meter wide and 10 meter long.
Good pictures. Thank you for the camp site 131.
