Transit in Vancouver, even behind security, requires Passport

Beginning in the summer schedule, AS have the following flights that transition through YVR:

AS102 FAI-ANC-YVR-SFO-LAX
AS105: LAX-SFO-YVR-ANC

Please be advised that even if you are a thru passenger, you will be required to have a passport since you will be travelling through a foreign country. Even though you will be in a holding area, the new regulations require a passport.
