Only US-based airlines now charge you everything in Y, but they still provide you free non-alcohol drinks.
Though the discount airlines, such as EasyJet, Ryanair, in Europe, and Virgin Blue in Australia, also charge you everything (incl coffee and tea!)
BTW, hope you get Delta or NW miles on Air France - if I recall correctly, AF is part of Skyteam. Though I try my best to dump the miles from my occasional DL/NW flights to AS (Alaskaair) account. I just bought a r/t on NW FLL/DTW in Sept as we need to go to Toronto for a wedding. The first NW flight in may be a decade. I am happy to find NW has a box for you to choose the FF they participate, and let you input all the indo, thus eliminating the trouble of calling or going to counter to get it done. I will make sure the boarding passes show our AS info though.
They do. Most overseas main airlines have free booz in Y
