Drive as much as possible on your first day. We drove about 18 hour first day, and slept in Miles City for about $30/room. When you are crossing the North Dakota, you can go to Theodore Roosevolt(spelling?) NP. You may see many buffalo there. Get up early next day and drive through the beartooth highway. Awesome.

GTNP is definitely a must-go. Spend one evening camping there and get up early to see sunrise.

Cody out of the east entrance is a very interesting small town. On friday there is a street gunshot show. Don't miss it. very funny.
