Very few people would make their way to see Abel Tasman NP. It is gorgeous.
However your itinerary miss one of the most beautiful drive - between Nelson to Picton on the secondary high route which overlooking the inlets between South Island and North Island. We visited New Zealand many times between 2001 to 2009, and again in 2013-15 time frame. Always had a rental car. This section of drive is one of the most beautiful routes.
Your time at Queenstown is the Summer, so not able to see the shockingly beautiful Fall colors along the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy thru out the drive by the water.
Queenstown is most beautiful in the Fall and the Winter time.
