我连带钱包丢了驾照的直接后果是：

米兰以后是自驾的一段，去拿车，租车公司因为我出示不了驾照，无论如何不让我拿车。最后，只能通过Expedia canceled the original reservation，我老公再直接和租车公司在柜台租，租车公司honored my original price offer.  我当时如果没有我家里用的有我一切信息的手机，换租车就会是另外一场噩梦。

回到家里，好像是几块钱又ordered a replacement driver's license.  

The moral of the story is:

1.  In tourists heavy areas, guard your valuables as if your life depended on them, because it does.  
2.  The few dollars or few tens of dollars saved are far outweighed by the benefits of having your communication nerve center - your home base cell phone - at the ready at your fingertips.
