众所周知 自從 N 年前起 用Delta 的里程飞长途很难用出价值來 所以 DL miles 有个外号叫 SkyPeso.
但是如果你能夠不用 US 做始发或者目的地 情况就完全不同了。不单有很好的 Availability 还只要合理的里数。前提是你的始发和目的地都不在美国或者加拿大

從Mexico City 走 的例子很有趣味，值得住在南加的朋友好好研究一下。
例如去澳洲 95K business one way
基本上 從 Mexico City 去 Sydney 来回都会 transit at Los Angeles, Los Angeles - Sydney 这段是 Delta One Suite, 大概是美国航司中最好的商务位了 只有 Jet Blue 的 Mint 可以比较，但是 Jet Blue 不飞澳洲。
Los Angeles to Mexico City 有好多方法飞 里程和 Revenue 都可以 哪一个最便宜，最方便，就用那个。所以 飞去 Mexico City （reposition flight) 來开始 真正的行程 实行起来 並不困难。
而且 回程因为要在 Los Angeles Transit 才能回 Mexico City, 那你基本上 在 LAX 就 可以 ditch the last segment Los Angeles to Mexico，直接回家去了。
所以这个是对住在南加的朋友特别有用。
飞欧洲也是。 不过是坐 AF / KLM.
飞亚洲是坐 Korean Airlines 留意到评论中说 DL 上很多 KE availability 是 Phantom, 一定要先在 KE 上查看 to make sure. 如果需要從 AMEX 轉点 的话 建议和 DL agent 电話确认 availability 才轉点 （AMEX to DL 是 instant 的，AMEX 还收一个税）
另外值得一提的是 飞 Intra Europe 如果 CDG 是始发或者目的地 DL 只收 10K / 20K / 25K
economy/business. 坐 AF. 不过 business 的坐位是和 economy 一樣的 分别在於 business class entitles you to have lounge access. 还是有一点点用处的。
Between South Korea and Japan 商务只要 15K 也是 sweet spot.
还有美國 加拿大之间 飞 WestJet 只要15K economy one way.
用里程票的最大好处是灵活性 改票 取消 都沒有费用或者很少费用，而且有一件免费 check in bag. 这个己经比 平价的 revenue ticket 要好。
